For the fifth consecutive year, the Decatur Independent School District has received an “A” rating for Superior Achievement from the State of Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system.
The yearly report is a state-wide accountability marker designed to recognize school districts that manage financial resources well. Within the report, Superior Achievement is the state’s highest score. Decatur ISD received 100 out of 100 possible points.
“We are very pleased with the School FIRST rating,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. Karen Rue. “This rating shows that the district is making the most of taxpayers’ dollars. This rating also shows that Decatur schools are accountable not only for student learning but also for achieving these results cost-effectively and efficiently.”
