DISD Athletic Wall of Fame nominations reopen each year in January.
To be eligible for induction, all individuals and team members must be of good moral character as may be determined at the discretion of the Committee.
Consideration for membership in the "Wall of Fame" shall be based on the following two categories:
Individuals who graduated from DHS and achieved one or more exceptional accomplishments in the field of sports at the high school, collegiate, or professional level shall be eligible for nomination and induction into the Hall of Honor's Wall of Fame. Examples of exceptional accomplishments include, but are not limited to, single game, season, or career accomplishments at DHS, or achievements in the field of sports following graduation. A minimum of ten (10) years must have lapsed since the date of class graduation before individuals may be inducted into the Wall of Fame.
Individuals, including non-DHS graduates, other than athletes who have made a significant contribution including time, talent, support or funding to enhance the DHS athletic program shall be eligible for nomination to and induction into the Hall of Honor's Wall of Fame. Candidates shall include coaches, teachers, administrators, booster club members, school patrons, or any others who support our athletic programs.
Consideration for membership in the Wall of Fame category shall be based on nomination only. Nominations will be accepted through the posted deadline of each nomination session. The Committee shall meet to review the nominations. They may accept as few as zero or as many as three individuals for induction in the Wall of Fame category.
