Election Information - May 2025:
Early voting: Tuesday, April 22, 2025 to Tuesday, April 29, 2025
Election Day: Saturday, May 3, 2025
The last day to register to vote in the May 2025 election: Thursday, April 3, 2025
Voting Locations:
Decatur City Hall, 201 E. Walnut Street, Decatur, Texas
New Fairview City Hall, 999 Illinois Lane, New Fairview, Texas
Candidate Information - May 2025:
The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted in May in accordance with the Texas Secretary of State Uniform Election Calendar. While candidates run for specific places, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents Decatur ISD at large.
In the May 2025 election, trustee places 1 and 2 will be on the ballot.
Application Process:
Eligible candidates may pick up a candidate packet from Decatur ISD, 307 S. Cates, Decatur, TX 76234.
Packets will be available for pickup beginning Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Completed packets must be filed in the Superintendent's office no later than Friday, February 14, 2025 at 5 p.m.
