The Decatur Education Foundation's Grant Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative, creative, and effective instructional approaches that directly impact students while transforming classroom learning. 

For the 2024-25 school year, we're expanding our grant application options and launching a new way to involve the community. For you, the applicant, you will still only need to complete ONE application!

Adopt-a-Grant: Similar to crowdfunding, community members will be able to identify and fund grants that interest them -- either by paying for a portion of that grant or by paying to cover the entire grant! Grants in this category can range from $250 to $2,500. These grants will be posted to our Adopt-a-Grant website, and DEF will provide you with a link that you can share with friends, family, and other potential supporters!

Traditional DEF Grant Application: As in past years, we are also allowing DISD staff to apply for grants directly through DEF. DISD staff can apply for grants up to $7,500.

Note: Grants that are not funded through our Adopt-a-Grant program or that are above the $2,500 threshold will still be considered through our regular grant application process.
