Decatur ISD is proud to announce Mr. Todd English as the new Director of Technology. Mr. English brings 18 years of experience as a Technology Director in public schools. Most recently, he was an IT consultant with Marlin ISD and previously served as Technology Director in San Benito CISD, Hardin ISD, Texas City ISD, and Westwood ISD. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems: Network Management from Tarleton State University. Mr. English comes to DISD with a vast knowledge of technology systems and infrastructure, as well as expertise in budget development, device configuration, and security systems.
Decatur ISD is also excited to welcome back former employee Mr. Kyle Mazac as the Executive Director of Operations. Mr. Mazac’s experience includes serving as Maintenance Supervisor in Birdville ISD and most recently as Director of Facilities in Carroll ISD. He holds FEMA Level 300 certifications, business management credentials, and multiple certifications in facility management. Mr. Mazac has a Bachelor of Science degree from WGU and a Master’s degree in Facility Management from the University of Texas - San Antonio. In his previous role in Carroll ISD, he ensured high facility standards through audits and inspections, enhanced maintenance policies, and complied with building codes and safety regulations. He has led capital improvement projects as well as departments within district operations, including compliance and regulatory features.
