The latest district-wide safety drill at Decatur High School was one of the many steps DISD takes to prepare for threats and to protect students.
The drill, led by the Decatur Police Department and local first responders, taught teachers and staff potential ways to respond during emergency situations. Additionally, the drill allowed DISD teachers and staff to participate in simulated emergency situations designed that gave them hands-on practice implementing safety measures.
