Eagles Swim has returned to the podium after a phonemail showing at the 2025 UIL State Swim Championships at the 4A Division on Friday, Feb. 14, in San Antonio.
The team, which brought 20 swimmers to the state's top swim competition for high school athletes, earned a program record seven medals for the Decatur High School Swim Team. Among the results:
Gold: Clocking in 3:14.48 , the Boys Relay Team with Johnny Albaugh, Preston Dollins, Aaron Williamson and Logan Fultz earned the high school's second state title in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
Silver: Clocking in at 1:28.44, the Boys Relay Team with Johnny Albaugh, Preston Dollins, Aaron Williamson, and Logan Fultz earned the Silver Medal in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Silver: Aaron Williamson finished as the Silver Medalist in the 100 Backstroke.
Silver: Aaron Williamson finished as the Silver Medalist in the 500 Freestyle.
Silver: Logan Fultz finished as the Silver Medalist in the 100 Butterfly.
Silver: Logan Fultz finished as the Silver Medalist in the 100 Freestyle.
Bronze: Logan Fultz finished as the Bronze Medalist in the 50 Freestyle.
In addition to the seven podium awards, the team finished fourth overall in the State Swim Meet.
