Update: On 10/17/23 bus route 6 was in an accident on 287 S. during the PM route. The bus was rear ended which caused it to be pushed into the vehicle ahead of the bus. Initially no injuries were reported. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene they decided to transport 16 students who complained of symptoms such as headache or soreness. Families were immediately notified and met at the hospital by DISD school personnel. Students without symptoms were transferred to another bus and taken home. As of 8:00pm all students were released from Wise Health.

Bus route 6 was in a minor traffic accident on 287 this afternoon. ALL students and driver are FINE. NO INJURIES. Another bus is en route to get the students and bring them home. Please do NOT meet the bus on the highway to pick up your student.
